Help Arthur Beat Cancer

Over two years ago my young son had a cough that would not go away. We went to urgent care and he was given antibiotics but he still did not get better. We went to his primary care doctor who thought he just had a virus but took an X-ray just in case. A short time later she came in with the nurse who went to color with my son in the other room. The doctor saw the panic in my wife's and my eyes. She said that everything would be okay. I still hope those words will still be true. She said that the X-ray found something and we needed to go right up to Mary Bridge Childrens Hospital in Tacoma, WA. She could not say for sure what is was but that we would be seeing an oncologist. We checked in at the ER and was shown to a room with no wait at all. That was scary. It turned out that my ten year old son had Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He started chemotherapy and radiation therapy. He could not handle the radiation therapy very well as he could not move with a full plastic cage over his face and chest. He had to be sedated for the rest of the fifteen treatments and lost all of his hair of course. We thought that after this that he would be fine but the cancer did not go away. They tried several more treatments until they hit a brand new one that finally started to work. His PET scan came out clean after two years of treatment. However now we have to go to Seattle Children's Hospital for salvage chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. This is the only treatment that will keep the cancer from coming back. With the help of the hospital's charity fund and our health insurance, we have been able to keep our heads above water. Both myself and my wife works in social service so money has be tight before all of this. We will need to stay in Seattle for three months during his treatment so we need help with the extra living and medical expenses. He is starting his treatment on 6/20/2018.
