Matt Nielsen shall be the Phoenix

Matt's friends are uniting to raise money after losing everything when his apartment in Squamish, BC was completely destroyed in a fire.

Anyone who has ever met Matt Nielsen knows how passionate he is about anything with 2 wheels especially downhill mountain biking and wrenching on bikes. He's always there on the trail or in the shop (with Romo) living and breathing his passion. So when the opportunity came for him to move back to the west coast of Canada and "live the dream" he jumped at it.
After only living there for 2 weeks disaster struck. On December 4, 2013, while out building trails, his apartment and all its contents burned to the ground. With only the clothing on his back, his trial bike and Romo at his side. Across the country Matt is trying to piece his life back together.
Matt has been there encouraging us, working on our bikes, riding the trails with us, always optimistic! Now is our chance to help him out.
He has lost everything - all his riding gear, his DH bike, tools, clothing. Things we take for granted on a daily basis from towels and dishes to Romo's bed and food. Without insurance on his stuff he is starting from ground zero.

Every little bit can and will help Matt.
