Help Philip - Death in the Family

Losing a loved one is never easy. It’s especially difficult when you lose two relatives in a short period of time.

Philip unexpectedly lost his sister-in-law four weeks ago. Upon which he used his entire savings to provide her the funeral/burial she deserved.

Just three short weeks later, his mother has also passed. Philip made a vow to his mother upon migrating to America, that he would return her body to her birth country, Nigeria. Unfortunately, with the cost of his sister-in-law’s funeral and the sale of his home (to provide surgery for his ill mother), he cannot afford to keep his promise.

The cost of transporting his mother from America to Nigeria exceeds $15,000. This is only for transportation; this does not include burial or cremation costs, medical costs, etc.

The local facility that is currently housing Philip’s mother provided a deadline of April 20th. Otherwise, it will be too late for shipment and he will have lost the chance to honor his mother’s wishes.

Philip is one of my co-workers. He has been a tremendous part to our team and brings joy and laughter to those around him. It's difficult to see him going through this tragedy.
