Sarah Amento

This fundraiser is created to help save my sister-in-loves life. Sarah Amento is a mother of 5 beautiful children ages spanning from 2 years to 18 years old. Last year she was diagnosed with stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Her world stopped, she felt everything being ripped from her all at once. She had to immediately stop breast feeding her youngest child, start chemotherapy and begin on the journey to LIVE. Every mile stone Sarah has come across she has jumped in head first. She put on her signature boxing gloves and fought. During chemotherapy the doctors told her that her tumor was not responding, Sarah opted for the most proactive route and had a double mastectomy. She was declared cancer free. She continued doing radiation and thought she had won this monster. Her doctors were wrong... she was wrong... it was back, actually it may have never even left. It had now spread into her lymph nodes, into her ovaries, on her stomach, back on her breast, under her arm, on her skull, its everywhere. The doctors were are still are baffled at how this happened and so quickly. They hesitantly gave her a prognosis of one year. Again Sarahs world had just stopped. What does she do now? does she just give in and try to live the remaining few months of her life with her children knowing they wont grow up with their mother? NO, She chose to fight just like she always has and always will. She will fight until her last breathe to save her life for her husband, her children, for herself. She sought the incredible Dr. Robert Nagourney. He has put together a mixture of chemotherapies that just might work. He knows this isnt the only solution and that there are other options to help increase these chances. He advised Sarah to talk to a wonderful man who actually studies places outside the U.S. who give people what our doctors here cant because of FDA rules. He told her if she was "his daughter" he would send her to vienna, austria. So again Sarah put her boxing gloves on and reached out to Dr. Kleef in Austria who looked over Sarahs case. He told Sarah she needs to be there NOW. He will combine his treatments ALONG with Dr. Nagourney and race to save her life. This brings us to where we are at today. This all sounds wonderful in theory but reality is that expenses could be but SHOULD NOT be what stops Sarah from getting what could very well be life saving treatment. Treatment and stay in vienna will cost roughly $75,000.00 I am laying this here today to all of you. I am begging you from the bottom of a sisters heart, as tears fall onto this keyboard, please help us save her life. She is the warmest, most selfless person on this planet and my nieces and nephews deserve to have their mom with them. Please please please help us. Even by sharing this, you are helping us.
