New Tricaster for CHSTV

It is time for a new Tricaster for CHSTV. The CHSTV Tricaster is on its last legs and may not make it through the end of the school year. The CHSTV Booster Club is leading out in efforts to get a new one.


CHSTV has just been selected for a grant to help purchase a new Tricaster. However, this grant is contingent on CHSTV raising the funds to cover part of the purchase.

The Tricaster is often referred to as a "studio in a box" because the one device does a number of tasks in a control room environment including playback of stories in the broadcast, live streaming, switching of cameras, blue/green screen compositing and audio mixing. The Tricaster 455 is a combination Standard Definition and High Definition system which is perfect for our needs because we shoot in HD, but air the broadcast in SD. It retails for $16,990.00 and this is the educational pricing.


Any additional funds raised durning this campaign will go directly to fund CHSTV needs.
