helping stormy

a stray kitten showed up at my stable the week of thanksgiving, once caught you could tell her front left leg was hurt. a friend and i took her to the vet and found out she had nerve damage. she is unable to use or feel her leg, and therefor should be amputated. the fear is that if she hurts it, it could become infected, or she could start chewing on it and cause problems. once she had been dewormed and had her shots she came home with me :) she is a cuddle bug and loved to purr and play with her mouse toys. stormy puts up with me brushing her and trimming her claws but it's difficult for her to groom her self (balancing on one leg instead of two) and her bum leg gets in the way. i hope to have the surgery done sooner rather than later because kittens recover better and heal quicker than full grown cats.
