Help Russ Recover!

Donation protected
My little brother Russ, age 53(so not exactly little), had an unfortunate accident at work. He is self-employed, and due to his injuries has been unable to work full-time. I'm asking for donations of up to $75k to help cover overwhelming medical and living expenses during what will be a long recovery. Please help if you can!

On November 28th, 2022, Russ fell from a roof while working. His fall was broken by a deck railing that he straddled between his legs. While in cartoons and videos, this is funny, in real life, it led to a broken urethra, ruptured testicles, and urinating through a tube in his side. Due to the severity of his injuries, only a few doctors in the country are qualified to help, none of which practice in his area. He finally has a surgery date of March 10th, 2023. With our help, his future prognosis is good.

As mentioned, Russ is self-employed and leads a small crew that works to keep people's homes habitable. He usually works long hours doing physical labor. As a business owner, he's also responsible for administration, sales, and staffing. Since the accident, he's been unable to work a regular schedule and oftentimes not at all. This will not pay the usual bills or the added medical expenses.

In addition to the added medical, travel, and household expenses, he is responsible for his family's expenses as well. If you know Russ, his friends and family mean everything to him and he doesn't want to disappoint or let them down.

We don’t know the full cost of future treatments, but we do know much will not be covered by insurance. Between deductibles and co-insurance, the initial out-of-pocket guesstimate is around $50k for medical costs alone! If medical travel is necessary, that number may go up substantially.

Recovery time is estimated to be at least 7 months. Living expenses during recovery will be a minimum of $22,000.

Surgery @ minimum $50k plus living expenses of at least $22k is why I'm setting a $75,000 goal to start.

This is where you can help. Please donate today, right now. Every penny counts! After you've donated, share this with your friends, acquaintances, and people you meet on the street. Give them the opportunity to help Russ too!

I'd also encourage you to share your favorite Russ story to help lift his spirits during this rough time. (Keep it g rated! )
