Dahlia's Battle Against Chiari, take 2!

UPDATE: Hello every one. I thought I had been updateding but I guess not. Lets hope this works better. I blessed to have you all just stop by and read this. I thank you for stoping by, for donating, for the prayers and for the kind words.
First I would like to apoligizes for the painitings not getting out. I had Planned on working on them but my energy level was gone. Even when I got back to work I still had no energy. I will slowly work on them and get them out. Let me up date on what has happend.
I was sent home to El Paso after three weeks. I went back and saw Dr.Tew April 2, 2014. He said you can go back to work in May 2014. Lets have your tainer get you to 50 pounds. He tells me don't jump, run, get on a trampoline, and ride a roller coaster right now. He was letting me go back to being a flight attendant. I worked hard every day with my trainer. I went back to work May 5th, yes Cinco De Mayo. I found that to be funny. At the end of the month I got a letter in the mail Dr Tew was retiering come June 2014.
There was a problem I was having some major symptoms now. My arms were having tremors in my arms. The never pain never went away in my head but they were now becoming worse. The nerve pain in my legs was horrible. While i was working the pain would get worse, sometimes I felt my head would explode.I would just stand there and smile and ask them if there ok. I called they made an appointment for August 2014 that would also be my 6 Month post op from surgery. I saw a Dr at the same clinic. He told me it was not chiari and if the nerves in my legs still bother me I can call and He will do a nerve test. He didn't look at my scar, didn't grade my Chiari, or check my blance. He did nothing. I had an MRI from him and I was sent back to El Paso. I went back to work.
January 23 2015 I woke with double vison and I felt drunk. I could barly walk down the hall way in my house. I went to the ER they run test. The answer we dont know what is happening. I have Chiari Malformation I, this may be causing the issues I am having. I was sent home the same way I came in. I was pulled from work. I can't been in the air because of lots of reasons. I am trying to get in to Dr. Paolo Bolognese in Manhasset,New York. He works at the Chiari NeuroSurgical Center.
I live in El Paso, Texas and Dr. B is in New york. THe Doctors I have seen locally have not helped me. I have not been to work since right before Christmas 2014. Any help you can give will be used to help with bills and medical/travel/recovery expenses on this battle for my health. Thank you again for taking the time to visit this page. My name is Dahlia I am from El Paso, Texas, I have been diagnosed with an Arnold Chiari Malformation.(ACM) The easiest way to explain this is that my cerebellum(brain) is dropping down into the top of my spine, putting pressure on my spinal cord and blocking the flow of the cerebrospinal fluid. (CSF)
This journey began in June 2013. I work as a flight attendant and was in between trips when I was hospitalized and put on medical leave from work due to a cardiomyopathy and severe headaches. An MRI was done and in it they found that I have ACM Since then my symptoms have progressively worsened and include, constant headaches, numbness in my arms and hands, shooting facial pain, visual problems that range from being unable to focus, pain shooting behind my eyes, nystagmus(literally bouncing of the eyes) Also I experience unsteadiness, dizziness, fits of coughing, stiffness, neck pain, constant nausea, memory and speech problems as well.
After seeing doctors locally in El Paso and not getting answers to the worsening symptoms and conditions, I contacted the The Mayfield Clinic in Ohio and was scheduled for an appointment in December with Dr. Tew, a specialist in ACM.
I had my initial consultation with Dr. Tew in Cincinnati, Ohio 2 weeks ago, and go back for another visit in 6 weeks for more testing and to determine when I will be having a decompression surgery(brain surgery).
I have been unable to work and have not received a paycheck since August and my finances are exhausted, the bills are mounting as I approach being on medical leave (not workman's comp) for 6 months. Any help you can give will be used to help with bills and medical/travel/recovery expenses on this battle for my health. Thank you again for taking the time to visit this page.
