Jeff Hansen - Brain Tumor Surgery

Louise's husband Jeff Hansen, has been diagnosed with a large brain tumor that was discovered after he suffered a seizure this past week. He is scheduled for surgery early next week, and will be unable to work for quite some time. Since this happened he is not allowed to work, and is on strong medication to prevent any additional seizures, until the day of his surgery. Jeff's recovery will most likely be months, possibly longer if the surgery is more complicated than anticipated.

We would like to raise money to help with medical expenses that won't be covered by insurance, as well as their daily living expenses to get them through the next 3 or 4 months. Neither Jeff nor Louise are offered sick time as a benefit, so money will indeed be tight. They have lived paycheck to paycheck since Jeff's former business dissolved with the economy several years ago, and as you can imagine, their medical expenses alone will be very high, in addition to regular bills that need to be paid each month.

Both Jeff and Louise are very hard workers. Jeff has not taken a day off in over 3 years. He works full time as a machinist, and works nights and every weekend as a ref for volleyball and basketball tournaments. Louise works full time at a daycare, and bartends part time. They put in a lot of hours each week working, and certainly do not live above their means. We would like nothing more, than to raise enough money so they can concentrate on Jeff's recovery, without the additional stress of worrying about how, or if their bills are going to get paid.

A situation like this could happen to any of us, and we are hoping you would make a contribution to help ease their minds during this trying time.
