Laurie's Dream Vacation

September 2012 Laurie (my mom) was diagnosed at 59 with pancreatic cancer. Her cancer is quite rare. It is treatable but not cureable. She has been receiving treatments at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for just over a year now. Although initially she responded well to the medicine, the tumors in her pancreas and liver are now growing. Laurie is a lifelong Vermonter and friend to many. She loves the outdoors and animals. She has just recently lost a beloved brother and has gone through a difficult divorce. She is depressed and needs something to cheer her up! Laurie deserves a dream vacation in a tropical paradise!
