~Cassandra's Cancer Fight~

Hello friends and family! As many of you know I have been diagnosed for the 3rd time with cancer. The first time was in 2008 when I was told I had breast cancer. I got a bilateral mastectomy and chemo, lost all my hair, got reconstructive surgery and came back strong! Then in 2011 while pregnant with my twins I was diagnosed with cancer in my lymph nodes. I got them removed while pregnant and had radiation therapy after I had the twins. Then in 2012 I got a hysterectomy because the drs were afraid I would get cancer in my ovaries. Lately I had been having a lot of leg/hip pain and my rheumatologist ordered an MRI to find out the problem. They found out that I had cancer in my hip and femur, causing the bone to weaken and my leg to break. I was walking around for months on a broken leg unknowingly. I just had hip replacement surgery and am recovering nicely but before I went into the OR for the surgery, I got some bad news. CT scan results showed cancer in "innumerable" locations in both my lungs, in my spine, in my liver, and in some of my other bones like my ribs. I was planning on going back to work after my hip healed but the drs said with this new news I am unable to work. I am a single mom of 5 kids. I have a 14 year old son, a 13 year old daughter, a 9 year old daughter, and 2 year old twins, a boy and a girl. Literally days before all this came about I was scheduled to get a raise and a promotion to assistant manager at my job. This may not sound like alot to some people but this was a big deal to me and everything came tumbling down with that stupid word...cancer... The donations given to me through this site will be used to pay bills, help me take care of my children, etc...things we all take for granted until this happens.
