Fe y Alegría Service Trip
Donation protected
Hello family and friends.
A group of my fellow classmates and I are going for a week to Sección San José, Dominican Republic in May. Since 1990 the Dominican Sisters have turned the impossible into possible. They transformed the lives of many impoverished and illiterate locals. Today, with the help of many organizations, community members have access to quality education and health care services. My time in the Dominican Republic will be spent with the 1,540 students at the local school, Fe y Alegría. I will be working as a classroom assistant and gym teacher. I hope to bring down materials in order to help aid my teachings in the classroom and on the field. All donations will be put towards my travel expenses and materials for the children. We plan on bringing down shoes, soccer balls, art supplies, and various sports equipment to enhance our time with the children. In order for the programs to run smoothly at Fe y Alegría , they rely on volunteer groups and government funding. On behalf of the teachers, students and Dominican Sisters at Fe Y Alegria, thank you for your consideration and donation!
