As some of you may know Matt and his gorgeous family have been through a hell of a time.
One Sunday afternoon (grand final day of all days) we were having our usual get together. As the night went on, Matt took a turn for the worst. He wasnt feeling right and went for a shower. Taylor told him to go lie down. The next morning she went into the spare room where he was sleeping and found him unresponsive.
She called an ambulance, he was taken to hospital and put straight into and induced coma and on life support. Matt had meningitis, for those who don't know it's and illness that attacks the brain. Everyone was fearing the worst. Taylor & Matt's family all came together and supported them both so much. We were told he could become a vegetable or if he woke up he would never be the same.
To everyone's surprise Matt woke up 8 days later with only slight hearing loss. Everyone was over the moon. He was even asking his mother in law if she needed him to come to work the next day.
By the next day Matt's heart rate skyrocketed and his breathing went rapid. They put him back into an induced coma. Within a few hours we were told some heartbreaking news, he'd had a massive heart attack and had to be revived. Every organ was shutting down. He's on dialysis for his kidneys still.
It was found that a blood clot had caused the heart attack. He still has blood clots in his body that they're trying to fight off. He's had bleeds on his brain and is still in an induced coma.
Matt & Taylor have two gorgeous children, Miss Pippa (2.5) who is missing her daddy dearly and a beautiful 3 month old baby boy named Nate. Taylor is due back at work in a few weeks & with everything that's going on she is unable to return. This family has taken a massive hit financially, emotionally and physically. These two are the type of people that would give the shirt of their backs to help anyone in need. So let's all get together & donate anything we can to help this wonderful deserving family.
