ENGLISH VERSION (FR Version below)

Next June, I’ll be taking on the Défi Monte-Cristo, a 5 km open-water swim.

This challenge is deeply personal for me. I’m doing it in honor of my father, who passed away last year at the age of 78 from Frontotemporal Dementia.

My dad was funny, warm, and full of life. But around age 65, things started to change. He would sometimes forget words. At first it was rare, then more frequent. Over time, speaking became so difficult that understanding him was a struggle.

The disease slowly changed his personality and made communication nearly impossible. Like many families facing this little-known condition, we had to learn how to cope with these changes and the gradual loss of the person we knew.

I want to turn this swim into something meaningful. By completing these 5 km, I hope to:

Honor my father

Raise awareness about this still too little-known disease

Raise funds to support families and research

All donations will go to France DFT, an organization that supports families affected by Frontotemporal Dementia and helps advance research.

Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference.

Thank you for supporting this cause and joining me in this journey.

VERSION FRANCAISE
