Janet Fischbein Nursing Care Fund

Janet & I have been married for almost 43 years. about 2 months ago she was rushed to the hospital with pneumonia. When she was x-rayed, we learned that she has lung cancer, So 2 weeks in the hospital then off to a nursing home for rehab and physical therapy, so she could get some strength back to start chemo. 2 weeks later she was back in the hospital, the pneumonia returned, another 10 days in the hospital and the pneumonia finally cleared up. Now she is back at the nursing home but is still too weak for therapy. Our doctor told me that her cancer is terminal. She wants desperately to come home. I work part time, 3 days a week, we need a home health aide to be with her the days that I work. I just can't afford the $80 to $100 a day that it will cost. We live on our social security and Jan's small pension, together with the money I make part time. Our insurance will cover a nurse 3 times a week for an hour or two a day and that's all. If I have to stay home to care for her, we will be in an even bigger financial bind. I never thought that we would be in this position and feel strange asking for help. Our kids just don't have the resources to help. So, if you can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
