Tina's 5k for Asha Mission

Dear Friends,
On November 3rd, I will be running a 5k with my daughter Ava in honor and support of Asha Mission Children’s Homes. I've only run one other 5k in my life, so this is a personal challenge that I am working hard to achieve! It's a special treat to run with my daughter for such a great cause.
Asha Mission is a Christian based, family centered ministry founded in 2007 by Pastor Babu John and his wife Lijy. The ministry was started in New Delhi with 5 children and now has over 100 children in 4 homes located throughout India.
I have been involved with Asha Mission for over 10 years, ever since my daughter Jana lived at the first home homeschooling each child. I have been able to visit the children on four separate occasions and have loved watching them grow up to be kind, curious and well cared for young people.
Asha Mission is supported solely by private donations and monthly pledges. Maintaining a steady stream of donations to run 4 homes is very challenging, and oftentimes there is very little left for special occasions such as Christmas.
This year, I would like to raise enough funds for each home to celebrate Christmas with a special meal and a small gift for each child. Every dollar that I raise through GoFundMe will go directly to Asha Mission Society. Help me reach my goal before my 5k in November! And thank you!
