Help ‘Chef’ Sammy Follow His Dream!

This is for my son Sammy Williams. Many of you know part of our story. It was not easy for me to decide to do this campaign. I already feel overwhelmed by the prayers, encouragement and chore help we have received over the last year. Now we need financial help. This is our story. Since Sam was 14 he dreamed of being a farm to table chef. It’s 7-9-2017 12:03am he’s 17 coming home from his restaurant job. I got a call saying my son was being Life Starred to Hartford. Later we learn the medic told dispatch to tell the surgeon not to come, that it did not look good. He met them at the hospital anyway. Sam underwent brain surgery, a cranectomy, he was fighting for his life suffering from a severe traumatic brain injury. Sam was in a coma for 7 days. Today his doctors tell us it is a miracle how much he physically endured and handled the many obstacles he needed to get through. In 13 months Sam went under 6 craniotomies, a myectomy, 2 rounds of HAMRSA, 12 weeks IV at home. Sam had to learn how to walk and talk again. He spent 2 months in a rehab hospital. In late August we were told he would not graduate with his class in May. A close teacher friend came to us and tutored him. On 1-28-2018 Sam returned to school and graduated with high honors! During late fall we started applying for culinary schools, in January he was accepted to ALL of them! Sam is now an enrolled future student of The Culinary Institute of America! Sam applied for every scholarship they could. He worked so hard to get to this point, and here we are. There is $20,000 needed for this boy to enter into the next amazing chapter of his life.
I can not help him anymore. I lost 8 months of income to be with my son. I also last fall lost my main emotional supporter and my boyfriend of 10 years. I need to buy him out of our mortgage so we do not also lose our home. I will not qualify for a mortgage if I co-sign for a student loan. I have a month to raise the final tuition money. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for any help!
