Hi friends & family,
As a lot of you know, Halloween night, my dog Layla was hit by a car. It was a hit and run and caused a lot of internal damage and also broke her back left femur. The first night she required a great deal of emergency medical care.
After about 20 hours of medical attention, they were able to stabilize her enough to be a candidate for surgery. She will then have to stay at the hospital for another 4 days to avoid infection or any surgical complications. We could not be happier that she is on the road to recovery!
Unfortunately however, the vet bills are incredibly expensive and very disheartening. With emergency care, sedation, overnight stay, and surgery costs, we are looking at about $3,500 in financial loss.
Friends and family have been asking how to help, ultimately just helping to provide that care for my sweet baby girl is all I can ask for.
