HELP BAXTER GET HOME

Donation protected
Hello Everyone,

As some of you may already know, my brother Baxter Lehanneur has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 (Advanced Melanoma) cancer. Baxter has been battling this cancer for the past 5 years and unfortunately, the doctors have discovered that multiple tumours have recently spread to Baxters brain.

Baxter has just finished up his radiotherapy treatment in London, and we will be waiting for results in the coming weeks. Due to some bleeding on the brain which occurred during the process of radiotherapy, our initial goal of getting Baxter home to Australia has become a little more complicated than initially planned.

It is Baxters biggest wish to come back to Sydney and continue fighting this terrible disease on home soil, with family by his side. Due to complications in flying with injuries & brain diseases, doctors have advised that the only way we will be able to fly Baxter home is via 'Medical Flight’, unfortunately, commercial flying is not possible at this stage.

As you can assume, embarking on a private, medical flight across the world is not by any means cheap, but we know that with the immense love and generosity of Baxter’s friends and family, we might be able to raise enough money to get Bax, the amazing human he is, back home to continue his fighting journey.

A first fundraiser was set up by Roydon, a best friend of Baxters, this week. Baxter has recently lost the ability to speak over the past week as a tumour has grown over a part of the brain which affects and impairs speech patterns. Pen and paper is now his treasured method of communication. After receiving many amazing gifts sent to the hospital from his beautiful friends, Baxter wrote this message on a piece of paper,

“I HAVE THE BEST FRIENDS”.

Roydon has now created a T-Shirt with Baxters handwritten message on the front that you can purchase here:

This is the first of many fundraisers that will be held to try and get our Baxter back home, and all proceeds will be donated through this page. Keep an eye out for more events and fundraisers in London and Sydney to get involved and help make Baxters wish to come home, true.

We realise this is a HUGE target, but we believe with love, strength and support from our friends and family, anything is possible.

Remember to live like Baxter; cherish, love and be grateful for all your beautiful friends.

Any leftover funds from this fundraiser will be donated to the Melanoma Institute Australia to go toward melanoma research and battles to overcome cancers like Baxters.
