My dad's fight against Cancer

At 70 years old, a few weeks after retiring, my dad Wilson Ramirez was diagnosed with stage 3 gastric (stomach) cancer with a metastatic carcinoma in one of his lymph nodes. Heartbreaking news not just for me, but for my entire family. Bittersweet knowing that baby Jacobo, my dad's first grandchild, will be coming into this world any day now to bring us happiness during this difficult time. God does work in mysterious ways and his timing is perfect. Jacobo will be my dad's biggest motivation to fight and recover.
On November 16th, my dad had his entire stomach removed (total gastrectomy) with reconstruction that will enable him to slowly get back to a normal life.
My father is one of the most important people in my life. He is an amazing human being with a beautiful heart and has taught me important values that I apply in my everyday life. He has worked so hard his entire life to ensure that we have everything we need. Although he retired from his full time job as a handyman, a very physical demanding job, he planned on keeping his part time in maintenance.
Due to my dad's current state of health and the aggressive chemotherapy treatment that he will have to endure , he will be unable to work and my mom as the caregiver won't be able to work full time. As a family we will certainly give my dad anything we can , be by his side, love him, and also help to support him financially, but know it will take more than just us with a battle such as this.
We want to do everything possible to keep positive energy for him and we want him to have peace of mind.
We are asking for donations of any kind that will help my dad with this battle against cancer.
