<div>Update - March 2026 -  I have been informed by my lawyer I am looking at around £200,000 to take the police to court for negligence. This is an impossible amount to raise. This is one reason people don’t challenge the police when they are failed by them!

<div>On 17 November 2024, my life changed forever.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I was violently raped. I have very little memory of what happened because I believe I was drugged. Despite everything, I did my best to do the right thing. I couldn’t call 999 immediately because my two children were at home, so I went in person to my local police station—but no one answered.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I called at 9:30am. They didn’t return my call until 11:30am, and I was given an appointment for 1:30pm.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>By the time I was seen, it was too late for crucial toxicology evidence. The results still showed cocaine and other substances in my system, supporting that I had been drugged.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I had extensive injuries. The forensic nurse told me she had rarely seen injuries as severe. Yet I was later told these injuries could not be used to support my case because it couldn’t be proven who caused them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I was starting to slowly rebuild my life. Despite the mental health issues I had been left with such as severe PTSD, depression, anxiety etc.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Months later, in October 2025, I was arrested for harassment and stalking. My “crime” was sending two letters—one to the man who raped me, and one to his mother—asking for accountability and trying to understand what happened to me, as I still have very limited memory.
</div>

</div>
<div>At the same time, I was sectioned and placed under immense emotional strain.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I later spent a week at a support house in Bristol for women who have experienced sexual assault. That time allowed me to breathe, reflect, and begin to rebuild my strength. It was there I made the decision to stand up and fight back—not just for myself, but for how I have been treated throughout this process.

<div>Since then, serious concerns have come to light:
</div>
<div>My MP has confirmed that vital CCTV evidence was not collected, despite police claims that it was.
</div>
<div>Key forensic opportunities were missed, including testing for additional DNA evidence.
</div>
<div>My case has been repeatedly dismissed and minimised, even when I have spoken publicly at local forums and tried to hold authorities accountable.
</div>

<div>I am now seeking justice.
</div>
<div>I have instructed a solicitor and barrister to pursue legal action against the police for their failures in handling my case.
</div>

<div>This is not just about me—it’s about accountability, and ensuring no other survivor is treated this way.
</div>

</div>
<div>I am asking for help to cover the legal costs of this fight. If, for any reason, the costs are lower than expected, any remaining funds will be donated to the support house in Bristol that helped me begin to heal. They are in urgent need of funding and resources.
