<div>Olivia turned 10 years old on January 13, 2025. Two days later, her family was hit with the scariest situation a family can face... <strong>She was taken to Children's Hospital ER and diagnosed with a skull-based brain tumor.</strong> The tumor is located in a very hard to access location, which means there is a high probability of multiple surgeries with multiple access points. In addition, there's a possibility of having to travel out of state for Proton radiation treatments. Certain details are still very uncertain at this time due to unknown definitive diagnosis of the tumor. The biopsy and resulting diagnosis during surgery will determine the need for further treatment/additional surgeries.

<div> Her initial surgery is set to take place at UAB on 2/12/25. She will transfer to Children's for post-operative care when the procedure is complete. At this point, we will have more information on the additional treatments and surgeries that will be needed. The doctors have prepared them for a very long stay.
