Difference Makers of Staten Island
Donation protected
Difference Makers of Staten Island, NY is an award-winning nationally recognized high school student college-readiness program. We are training high school students to be leaders of social issues projects and they also perform fundraisers to donate to important causes. This Go-fund-Me campaign will provide support to 4 not-for-profit organizations we are partnering with. Now in its 5th year, Difference Makers addresses vital issues that create student and not-for-profit partnerships in which students study the need of the not-for-profit partner and offer a proposed written solution. High school students at three Staten Island, NY public schools: Curtis H.S., Susan Wagner H.S., and Tottenville H.S. are studying and solving problems related to anti-violence (True 2 Life), food insecurity (Meals on Wheels), environmental protection (The Greenbelt Conservancy), and educating HIV Orphans in Zambia (American Friends of Cecily's Fund). Our goal is to raise $3,000 to support these four not-for-profit partners (100 percent donation). The proceeds will be given to the NFP partners at the annual certificate of completion ceremony honoring the students at a virtual reception at St. John's University on February 8, 2021. Difference Makers are grateful for any size contribution. See Difference Makers on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/statenisland_differencemakers/
