Freeouf IVF Fund

We are Jessamy and Brian Freeouf and we have one terrific six year old son named Joseph. Brian and I got married in July of 2006 and had only been married 3 months when we got pregnant with Joey. It seemed like such a piece of cake, a walk in the park. My pregnancy with Joey went very smooth. I really had no complaints during the nine months, although, Joey's birth was a little stressful for us. My 8lb.9oz newborn was sent to the NICU and I was getting prepped for a repair surgery. Joey spent nine days in the hospital and then had to be on oxygen for a month after that. But at least we had him with us and now he was home and thriving very well. Brian and I decided that we would wait a couple of years to try to conceive again. We were enjoying our toddler and our time together. It only took a short time of "trying" for a second baby that we discovered that we were pregnant again. But on March 23, 2010 our scheduled ultrasound appointment at 25 weeks of pregnancy rocked our world. My doctor had told me that the only reason that she would be seeing us on that particular day of the ultrasound is if there was something wrong with the baby, otherwise the ultrasound tech would just handle the appointment. After 20 minutes of taking measurements and having that slimy jelly on my belly, the ultrasound tech excused herself and within a few minutes in walks my OB/GYN with a very sad and concerned look on her face. Our hearts just sank. The doctor said that there wasn't a heartbeat for our baby and that the baby probably died about a week before. That was the hardest news to hear. Brian and I were absolutely heartbroken. In addition to that the doctor told us that the healthiest way to handle this situation was to "deliver" our baby. After two days of labor, Jonah was placed in our arms for us to say good-bye.
A year and a half passes and our hearts mend a little and we again are discussing whether to try again to get pregnant. I thought to myself that surely losing a second baby wouldn't happen to us. Unfortunately that was not the case. We ended up having three miscarriages in one year span. So now we have four babies in Heaven, and feeling like God had other plans for us. But in our faith we continue to pray for another child. After searching other avenues we came across a doctor who told us that maybe he could help our situation. In vitro fertilization (IVF) just might be the solution. The doctor told us that through the process of IVF there is also a chromosome test that can be done on day 3 of life called Preimplantation Genetic testing (PSG). This is a test that would hopefully bring the chance for miscarriage down considerably. The cost for IVF and this genetic test is close to $20,000 and of course our insurance will not cover it at all.
We have read in the Bible in I Samuel that there was a woman named Hannah that desperately wanted a child. She prayed and prayed for this child and she told God that if He gave her a child that she would dedicate that child to the Lord forever for His glory. Brian and I have made this promise to the Lord as well. Our hearts desire is to be able to raise Joey and hopefully with God's help and blessing, another child in the Light of Jesus, giving Him all the glory.
We are prayerfully asking for our friends, family, and whomever God has laid upon their hearts to consider donating to our IFV fund. Even the smallest amount will help. Although if that is not possible we ask that you just pray for us to seek God's will in this endeavor.
