Meet Azizah.
For the past 3 years, Azizah has been traveling 5 hours a day on a bus, three times a week for kidney dialysis. Unfortunately her condition has deteriorated and the only option now is to arrange for a kidney transplant.
Getting a kidney transplant in Indonesia is extremely difficult and very expensive. The cost involved is way above any of our incomes and so with this in mind, I have come up with a crazy idea that hopefully will contribute a fair way to be able to afford a new kidney for Azizah.
4 marathons, 4 countries in 4 months.
I would really appreciate you donating what money you can afford for my cause.
Ideally, £10 PER marathon (or more!), would be absolutely awesome and in return I will run like the wind (well, a gentle breeze more like!) and complete 168km in under 18 hours. Saying that, just as much as you are able to donate would be great.
The marathons:
February - Malta
March - Rome
April - Madrid
May - Edinburgh
I chose these places because of my dear friends who have kindly offered to put me up for the weekend and send me on my way home the following day... hopefully not in a wheelchair.
Please consider this a worthy cause to donate some spare cash to. Azizah is the most remarkable woman, who in the face of adversity for so many years now, just gets on with things. Her condition now is really sad. A transplant will cost over $50,000, plus there is also medication. So any donation towards this goal will be really appreciated.
