my sister christine schleppy and her husband david schleppy have an amazing little 1 year old boy, liam. he went in for a simple 15 minute procedure, tubes in his ears, and now he has been in the hospital for 3 days fighting complications. when they did the anesthesia he went into respiratory distress and went into pulmonary arrest, called edima. they stabilized him and continued with the procedure. upon his wake up he couldn't breath on his own. he had fluid in his lungs. he has been incubated for 3 days now so they can keep him calm and let time heal his lungs. they then discovered an abnormality in his lung, which turned out to be an air pocket. they put a catheter in his lung to release the air pocket. prior to any of this happening they have been struggling financially, and hopefully they can bounce back and progress forward from here. he will be there for a minimum of 10 more days. She fears losing her job and not sure if she will still have one after this because of the amount of time she has taken off and not knowing when she will be back to work. Regardless their family could use whatever charitable donations that may be spared. please, even if its a dollar, it's much appreciated. thank you in advance.
