My teeth surgery!

Hola buenas, soy Nadia y no he tenido la mejor de las relaciones con mis dientes.

Ha sido una lucha larga… comenzada en plena adolescencia con los primeros tratamientos provisionales, pasando por medianas y pequeñas inversiones para mejorar mi situación dental.

En este momento siento de estar a contra reloj porque las bases de mis dientes no pueden sostener más los arreglos provisorios y de buena una vez por todas, quiero tener mi boca completa, sana y sin dolor.

Entonces ahora la situación es la siguiente. Si quiero poder morder una manzana de acá a dos años sin la preocupación de perder un diente en el intento, necesito hacer lo siguiente:

- Voy a someterme a una cirugía para extraer los restos de raíces que todavía quedan en mi boca;

- Mientras que mis encías se cicatrizan, necesito esperar un mes y medio sin dientes - !Con todo el proceso emocional que esto conlleva!;

- Voy a tener una prótesis removible que me va a acompañar por un año y medio;

- Nueve meses después de la primera, necesito hacer otra cirugía para instalar los implantes que van a sostener la prótesis definitiva;

- En fin, después que mis huesos se cicatrizan, pueden instalar la prótesis definitiva (aleluya)

Bueno, les cuento que me muero de miedo con idea de hacer todos estos procedimientos médicos. Además, las operaciones, hechas de la forma mas económica posible, va a costar al rededor de 10.000 euros.

Desde hace 5 años vivo en una comunidad de 30 personas y nos dedicamos a procesos de sanación individual y colectiva. Quiero poder acompañar a muchas personas en todo el mundo y no estar pensando si los otros están mirando mis dientes o no.

Soy consciente que fue un año particular y duro para todos en cuanto a la pandemia - me siento bastante vulnerable de pedir apoyo para mis dientes… pero, vergüenza a parte, lo quiero hacer!

Hi,

My name is Nadia and I have not had the best relationship with my teeth.

It has been a long fight... it started as a teenager with the first provisional treatments, continuing with many small and medium sized inversions to improve my teeth.

In this moment, I feel like I am running against the clock because the basis of my teeth cannot sustain anymore my provisional teeth. One and for all, I want to have my mouth complete, healthy and pain-free.

So now the situation is this:

If I want to bite an apple two years from now without losing a tooth in the intent, I need to do all of the following procedures.

- I will go through an operation to extract all the roots which are still in my mouth;

- While my gums cicatrize, I will need to wait a month and a half with no teeth (with all the emotional process this will bring!)

- I will have a removable prothesis which will accompany me for a year and a half.

- Nine months after the first operation, I will have to do another one to install the implants that will hold my definitive prothesis.

- Finally, when my bones cicatrize, I can install the prothesis (Alleluia!)

Well, let me tell you I am feeling super scared at the idea of going through all of these medical procedures. Plus, these operations, done in the cheapest way possible, will cost around 10.000 euros.

For the last 5 years I have been living in a community of 30 people. We dedicate ourselves to healing individual and collective conflicts. I want to be able to accompany many people around the world confident with my smile.

I am aware that it has been a strange and hard year with the pandemic, and I feel vulnerable asking for support for my teeth... but, embarrassment aside, I want to do it!

I am not sure if anybody enjoys going to the dentist, I can’t wait!
