Malachi's Journey

Hello!! Malachi Elijah Freeman was set to make his debut September 11,2013, his parents, Patrick & Tammera were overjoyed pending his arrival!! Malachi came into the world fighting on July 28, 2013 at just 33 weeks gestation. He weighed in at just 4lbs 14 ounces. As happy as everyone was to meet little man he came so early that there were multiple medical conditions affecting him. In his short time sweet Malachi has had to endure more surgeries and pain than anyone should. Malachi has had to stay in New Orleans at the Children's hospital, his Mommy has been able to stay at his side but his Daddy has returned to their hometown 3 hours away in Lake Charles, LA for the past 4 months so he can continue to work. On the weekends he can he has taken the Greyhound bus in order to spend as much time as possible with Malachi and Mommy. Fortunately last week Patrick's company Multifamily Management Inc. was able to temporarily transfer him to the New Orleans area so he can be closer to his family. Malachi now weighs 11lbs and 3 ounces and is a fighter every day to grow stronger with the hopes of making it home by March! With this page we hope to raise funds to assist with getting a family vehicle and paying the insurance for a few months so Malachi's parents don't have to worry about catching the bus to get to and from the hospital daily. We hope to ease some of the struggle they are going through so they can only worry about Malachi! Thank you for reading about Malachi and our mission and we appreciate any assistance!!
