UPDATE ALERT!
27/04/2020
Due to everyone's huge generosity and because cycling makes Freddie so happy, Ollie has decided to increase the distance from 26km to 26 miles. Wow!

We have been so overwhelmed and we are so grateful for all your support. Thank you.
If you haven't already, please donate to Freddie's fundraising bike rides to raise money for the fabulous Entrust Care Partnership
Thank you xx

Entrust Care  Partnership  is a social enterprise which provides a wide range of essential services and support to children and adults with disabilities and additional needs and their families in Warwickshire. These families are some of the most vulnerable and in need families in our community.

Lynne Barton  is the director and she works tirelessly, each and every day to support children like my son, Freddie who has a rare genetic disorder & brain injury, his siblings and us as a family. Meeting Lynne and the team at Entrust Care Partnership was a game changer for us and has lead to many wonderful things happening in what are very challenging circumstances.

During these unprecedented times of the Covid-19 Pandemic, Entrust Care Partnership, like many small charitable organisations, finds itself worrying about how they will continue supporting some of the most vulnerable families in Warwickshire without funds and grants.

1:1 support, out and about carers, sibling support, counselling for the whole family, inclusive sports, football and dance clubs, cafes giving you people with SN a pathway into work, holiday breaks, coffee and chat and hosting a whole range of workshops are just a few of the services provided by Entrust Care Partnership.

In order to raise some money to help keep this truly valuable support service running, Freddie and his Daddy (Ollie) are going to cycle 26 km during the next week or so.

A BIT ABOUT FREDDIE
Freddie is almost 9 years old, attends a SEN School and has a wide and varied list of additional needs and disabilities. These include a brain injury due to a stroke before birth, severe learning disability, communication difficulties plus developmental verbal dyspraxia, a neurological eyesight condition, suspected absence seizures, anxiety and big behaviour, balance issues, low muscle tone and a number of other needs.

He has a professional for almost every area of development including Neurology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Physio, Speech and Language, OT, Bowel, dietician, paediatrician and the list goes on.

He deals with such a lot but Freddie is one of the most determined little boys I know and we are incredibly proud of him.

He is mad about all ball games and even though he doesn't have the physical ability to join in with mainstream games, he is an ace shot at basketball, he loves tennis, football and Boccia and one of his big passions is cycling. We were lucky enough to be gifted a specialist trike by a charity to help with his physio and to enable us to do things as a family.

So, Freddie and his Daddy are, together, cycling 26km to raise money for Entrust Care Partnership, to say a huge thank you for all the love, care and support they offer to families like ours. His sister, Bella and brother, Jago will accompany him on some of the rides.

Any donation, big or small, would give Freddie the boost he needs to keep peddling (we will be showing him on the iPad and Ollie will upload their rides to Strava too) and will go towards essential funds for some of the most vulnerable children and families in our community. Thank you so much. xx
