Jose Legal Funds

Jose is a kind, hardworking, dedicated young man who was faced with very difficult living conditions and forced to leave his country in 2013.  In search for a better life, he began his journey which led him to America.  He worked in a well known restaurant as part of the management team.  He was a leader in the kitchen and helped build a successful environment since the restaurant opened in 2015.  He has many friends and family here who care deeply about him.  In June 2019, he was reported to ICE and escorted out of his place of employment where he was, and still is, well respected.  Fellow employees, friends and family were devastated.  He was then held in detainment for two months before being deported back to Guatemala.  He was abruptly torn away from a loving relationship, a caring family, and a great support system at work.

This GoFundMe is designed to raise money to provide Jose with the appropriate immigration legal representation in order to bring him back to the United States.  He has made great contributions and loving relationships while living in the U.S.  We are confident in stating that this is the country where he belongs.  

After meeting with an immigration lawyer, the estimated legal fees will be close to $7,000 and this process could take up to three years to get him back to the States.  The goal is to raise money to help pay for this difficult journey.  Thank you in advance for any support you may give to assist us in achieving this goal!
