Don Krueger Medical Fund

Donation protected
On 11/16/20, Cleveland drummer, Don Krueger, was hospitalized with COVID-related pneumonia and put into ICU on a ventilator. After two weeks in the hospital, he was released home, but was hospitalized again a few days later with encephalitis. After several more weeks in the hospital, Don was sent to rehab for therapy due his cognitive issues from the encephalitis. He was sent home to recover but after a few weeks, he was hospitalized again after having a mini stroke (TIA). His tests show that he still has diffuse slowing in the left temporal lobe of the brain from the encephalitis, but there are no new areas of infection. Continuing with therapy, it will take Don several more months for his brain to heal, hopefully without any residual scarring. His wife, Andrea, who also had COVID in November, is only able to work part-time. We are asking for donations to help Don and his family deal with the expenses from his three hospitalizations and rehab, plus his ongoing therapy and many medications. Please give what you can and help us get one of Cleveland's favorite percussionists back behind the kit. Thank you for your generosity!
