Help Zachary and family

Zachary is 17 and an incredible, inspirational young man who was first diagnosed with Leukemia(ALL) in February of 2001, when he was 4 years old, and Treatment Related Leukemia(AML) in May of 2007. He has undergone a bone marrow transplant (2007) and a heart transplant (2011) along with many other necessary procedures. There have been many ups and downs over the years, but Zach's heart and kidney function is worsening and the doctors are running out of treatment options. One of Zachary's dreams is to go to LEGOLAND in Florida and his doctors have encouraged the family that now is the best time to try and make that dream
a reality for him. In addition, the family has difficulty paying their ongoing living expenses because of their commitment that Zachary never be left alone, even in the hospital. That has meant only part time work for David, so he can be with Zach when Suanne is teaching, and multiple round trips from Green Bay to Children's Hospital in Milwaukee as they juggle that and time with Tim, Zach's younger brother. Both parents drive old vehicles beyond their life cycle that require ongoing repairs. This site was created to help the Prestbys go on a family trip to Florida and create amazing memories as Zachary gets to see LEGOLAND (he is definitely a Lego master!) and alleviate some of the stress of the mounting bills. Time is of the essence because, although Zachary continually amazes us with, in his Mom's words, "his resilience, positive attitude and determination", his body is getting tired from this constant struggle. It is humbling to watch how the hope, faith and love of this family has endured through so much pain and so many setbacks. Our goal is to bless Zachary and his family the way they bless us on an ongoing basis.
