From the Ground Up

Hi my name is Georgia Daniel and I live in Sienna Plantation in Missouri City, Texas that was under mandatory evacuation. My parents Grace 71 and Mike 77 lived in the Meyerland area of Houston, Texas and lost 90% of every single thing they had in the Hurricane Harvy Flood. They live in Meyerland! They came to Sienna to avoid the flood and then we all were under mandatatory evacuation! With the help of amazing friends and family we packed up items that were salvageable. Due to financial restraints they did not have flood insurance, but had renters. Their claim has been denied. I have helped them apply for FEMA and FEMA has said that they will not get reimbursed  for personal property. They have lost bed frames, mattresses, dressers, desks, tv's, dvd players, t.v. trays, food, cleaning products, rugs, clothes, bath soap, all toiletries, shoes, jackets, socks, pots, pans, trashcans, tupperware, vacuums, kitchen table and chairs, recliners, towels, sheets, blankets, comforters, pillows, etc. The funds will be used to help them rebuild with the essentials such as furniture, first and last months rent at a new place, movers, etc. They are looking for an apartment complex that they can afford that is not in a flood prone area!
