Support for Kane’s amputation recovery !

ITS AMPUTATION DAY TODAY !!! 29/3/19 for Kane. After receiving so much support to purchase a disability support vehicle for him, We have decided to rename the title of this campaign in order to further support the family in Kane’s recovery post surgery. It would be great to reach our target to assist in the recovery process. Thank you all who have donated thus far. We will be updating on his progress day by day ... good luck today buddy ! Kane and his two siblings were born with Di George Syndrome , a Chromosome disorder that has affected his heart , his development and lower limb. He has had dozens of surgeries in the first few years of his life including , open heart surgery and various foot reconstructive procedures which have enabled him a better quality of life until now ! At 12 years of age Kane is now facing an amputation of the leg within the next 90 days , this poses great risk to Kane as he requires a full team of cardiologists in the procedure as his heart is also a major concern.I’ve set up this page to assist Kane’s Grandmother Suzanne who is permanent carer of Kane and his older brother Lochlan who also has a heart procedure coming up, and younger sister Madison, all with the same condition. At 64 years of age She has cared for and nurtured all three kids through constant procedures, surgeries and special needs. This operation is going to be the hardest so far .As Kane is also developmentally delayed his recovery will be extremely hard on Suzanne. With no guarantee that Kane will be suited to a prosthetic leg . She is currently receiving NDIS support to apply for an upgrade to her home with extensions, lifts and wheelchair accessibility , however there is no funding available for a disability support vehicle! The NDIS may be able to Install appropriate wheelchair supports within an existing vehicle however Suzanne is a pensioner and unable to buy a big enough car to support this .This is where we come in ! Our aim is to raise $40,000 to either purchase a vehicle for alteration, or to purchase a second hand disability support van for the same price.It does not matter what you give, if we got 40,000 shares and people to donate just $1 each we would reach our target and take the pressure off Suzanne at this very hard time .So please share and let’s help take the stress off this family !
