Emma's Student Ambassador Trip

My name is Emma Wallace and I am the daughter of Stephanie and Kevin Wallace. I have been nominated by a former teacher and accepted to participate with People To People Ambassador Programs to go to Italy, Greece, and Sicily. I will study abroad to further my cultural education next summer over a 19 day period.
The People To People Ambassador Program was founded by Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956. "His Vision: Give everyday citizens of different countries opportunities to meet and get to know each other, and the result will be understanding, friendship, and lasting peace." Some highlights of the People To People Ambassador Program are in 1962 students are briefed by Robert Kennedy en route to Europe, 1976 students visited China, 1985 students met president Reagan at the Whitehouse, 1987 ambassadors met soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, 1989 students witnessed the fall of the Berlin Wall, 1999 students met Queen Elizabeth II in England, 2005 People To People Ambassador Programs becomes the first student travel organization to go to all seven continents, 2012 ambassadors went to Japan to help repair damage from the Tohoku earthquake. More than 80% of student ambassadors report acceptance to their first choice college. This program helps students personal growth, success, and improves confidence and leadership skills, and gives them academic credit.
I've completed the interview process and I've been accepted into the program. Now the hard work begins! To attend this trip I will need to raise 7,000 dollars.
While this is an outstanding opportunity I need help to reach my goal of raising the $7,000.00 necessary to attend this fantastic educational experience.
