Crush Cancer Crusade

April 2018 ​ ​They say that family is not always about blood. It is about those who are willing to hold your hand when they need it the most. This cannot be more true for one of our family members, and my best friend, Tracy Chenault. For those of you who have been fortunate enough to cross her path, you know that she exemplifies being a woman; strong, independent, a fierce competitor, and a loving individual. ​To look at her, you would say, “I want to be like her when I grow up.” She leads by example with a healthy lifestyle- exercising daily, taking her vitamins, and practicing what she preaches. But a few months ago, Tracy’s world was turned upside down. She was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer, that has spread to one of her lymph nodes. ​While she continues to have a great attitude and knows she CAN beat this, expenses are beginning to build up. Her family and friends are asking for your support to help with traveling expenses, treatments, medications, etc. This is a continuous and expensive battle, and this is just the beginning. Tracy’s family is older and on a fixed income, so money from them is limited. Her journey will also cause her to miss time from work. As a self-employed massage therapist and personal trainer when you don’t work, you’re not earning an income. ​Our goal is to try and raise $40,000, to offset the costs of medical and related expenses. We ask that you donate what you can for this beautiful woman. Any help is greatly appreciated, whether large or small, we know she could truly use it.
