Morton Helping Morton . . . this GoFundMe page is being created to help a lovely family from Morton that lost their mobile home in Sunday's tornado. This is a family of four (soon to be five) . . . Dad, Mom, two small children, and a baby due right before the Christmas holiday.
Susan Pyles (Director of Tourism) has been doing amazing working contacting the various agencies in the area that may be able to provide assistance to this family. However, immediate assistance is not readily available at this time
Morton Tourism Association has been working feverishly to gather clothing for the family since they lost everything except the clothing they were wearing. With the help of everyone near and far, we have received more than enough clothing to meet their current needs. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
We are currently working on securing a rental house for them in Morton, but funds are needed to purchase items for their home, rental insurance, and also rental payments. As a result, the Morton Tourism Association Board met this morning and decided we would do our best to raise some funds to assist with the immediate needs of this family.
While our goal may seem very high to some, we are more than confident that those in our Village, our families, and friends can make this happen because we are MORTON HELPING MORTON!!!!!!!
