Fund a dream

The FUSE youth project works alongside young people, to create safe spaces for local young people in their community. We are a universal open access service provider and we operate in three different locations across Barnet. Our mission is to work with young people to show them the world outside of their environment. In both a literal and non-physical way. We pride ourselves on being youth-led, which means that we respond to the needs and wishes of the young people whom we serve. supporting them in their emotional, educational, and physical health and wellbeing.

Michael (Mickey) Peters has been an active member of our youth club since 2017. Mickey has made a great contribution to the youth club over the past 4 years, beginning as a service user, then moving on to become a volunteer and now an active member of staff. Mickey has worked hard to best engage and support the young people and their wellbeing through delivering a variety of workshops surrounding mental health, antibullying as well as delivering active sports sessions. In addition to this Mickey has never shied away from speaking up for change, and providing a voice for the youth and his community at any opportunity given. As a result of his positive contributions to his community, Mickey was awarded The Barnet Group Award 2019. Mickey is always looking for new ways to bring new opportunities to the young people, for instance this year he partnered up with another young person and ran a youth led project funded by London Youth. In which he used the money to deliver an offsite experience to Ninja Warrior for 50 young people from both Grahame Park and West Hendon. Mickey was involved in the design, planning and also the delivery of this project, which was a great success and brought much happiness to each young person that came along.

Mickey's dream is to become...
and with the help of the community this could all become possible.
Mickey has been giving and giving to his community, offering young people access to many new opportunities and experiences and now it is time for us to give thanks and offer him the same opportunities by supporting him on his next endeavour. By donating, you will be helping Mickey to achieve his dream but additionally allowing Mickey to be a prime example to all young people living in disadvantaged backgrounds that despite the odds, any achievement is possible if you want it enough.

Mickey will be doing a variety of fundraising activities to meet his goal, from now until, hopefully September 2023, however he will continue until his goal is reached. We thank you for any of your support in advance.
