Recovery After Hurricane Harvey

Hi, I am Joshua M. On Saturday August 26, 2017 Hurricane Harvey made landfall in the southeastern Texas Border. We were told that Houston would receive their portion of the storm in the upcoming days. Unfortunately, the storm came that night and changed the lives of my entire family(The Martin Family). We lost all 3 vehicles and the entire house is under water. That night, we had to evacuate at 3 am walking in the chest high flood water. We attempted to save what we could, but the flood water was rapidly rising and the rain would not stop. It took us 2.5 hours to make it to safety. This event was beyond devastating. Not once in my life i would have ever imagined that everything we worked for, would disappear right in front of our eyes. I am truly blessed for my family and I to live and tell the story. Now I know the road to recovery will not be short, but we will do everything in our power to make sure that we recover form this disaster. We are going t have to clear the house out and replace everything from the bottom up. This is going to be a very stressful situation, but we will get through it all.  We are just asking for any type of donation that you could possibly give.
