7th Annual Fundraiser & Awards Celebration
“Building Community-Led Justice”

The National Reentry Network for Returning Citizens is preparing to celebrate our 7th Annual Fundraiser & Awards Ceremony. Join our cause to build community-led justice in DC!

A New Model for Justice:
This year, our fundraising efforts focus on building a community-led justice model in DC. Our model will use restorative practices to support people's needs and relationships, identify community needs, and address these needs before people encounter law enforcement or the criminal legal system. This project is grounded in community building, harm prevention, healing, and liberation. Any amount you give helps to empower our communities to respond to harm, mend relationships, and meet the needs of all.

More about NRNRC:
The National Reentry Network for Returning Citizens supports individuals returning to DC and surrounding areas following a period of incarceration. We provide an innovative combination of services and advocacy to empower returning citizens facing disenfranchisement and support them as they advocate for dismantling systems of harm and repairing futures.
Returning citizens are our neighbors, friends, and family. An estimated 8,000 individuals return to DC from incarceration each year. In DC, 90 percent of those in jail and 95 percent of those in prison are black. Our country is still suffering deeply from the so-called War on Drugs and ‘tough on crime’ era. NRNRC’s status as an organization of impacted individuals has led to over a decade of well-known, effective community advocacy for returning citizens. We have unique credibility, insight, and experience as we work with our individual clients and the community at-large. Recently, we have had a critical role in the COVID-19 emergency response for returning citizens, including developing a highly successful reentry housing program.
From advocacy and training to peer coaching and careers, our goal is to ensure that returning citizens have every opportunity to succeed. The 7th Annual Fundraiser & Awards Ceremony gives us all a chance to come together and celebrate the success of our returning neighbors. By donating, you will be a part of a community of compassion working for transformational justice.

Please give! No amount is too big or small. Thank you in advance for your contribution.
