My friends the Aquilino’s are some of the best people I know. They are kind and warm and loving and I am proud to know them.
Last year, Phil (Dr.Phil) lost his job and the family was forced into bankruptcy and lost their home. They were forced to live with their older son Dan to avoid being homeless.
Kelly (Mom) was diagnosed with cholitis and has lost a significant amount of weight. She will also have to have her colon removed in the near future due to a perforation.
1 week before Christmas, Dr Phil came down with a severe fever. He was diagnosed with necrotizing fasciitis. The family didn’t think he would live. Thankfully, he “only,” had to have his leg fully amputated to avoid death. He kept in great spirits and has had the best outlook and was finally sent home yesterday after 33 long days in the hospital.
Today, the Aquilino’s woke to no water. They need a well pump that costs $2300.00 to replace. Due to recent circumstances and the fact that Dr Phil is out of work for an undetermined amount of time, raising this money has become impossible.
