My Brother, Nathan Gargus, is the band director for a small school in mid-Missouri called Russellville. Nathan is the hardest-working teacher I've ever met. He puts in 12 hours a day, 6 days a week most weeks, constantly doing everything he can for his students. He has sacrificed almost all of his free time since he started the job to make his band as good as he possibly could, to make his kids as happy as he can, to give his kids opportunities to better themselves.

This weekend, my brother came to visit me nearly 2 hours from home. While he was here, enjoying a rare break from his work, some vile person broke into his home and took nearly everything he had. Thousands of dollars worth of electronics, his class ring, his coin collection. They cleaned him out and left him with almost nothing. Teachers don't make great money. Everything he had, he worked and saved and pinched pennies to earn. He is exceptionally proud of what he had worked so hard for. And they took everything. Nobody in my family is wealthy, all we ask is your help replacing the things that can be replaced. My brother is a pillar of his community, a mentor to dozens of kids who adore him.
