I have more than met my out of pocket medical costs and am blessed to have been able to do so. Right now my family is facing 5 to 6 months of lodging for me that has to be very close to MD Anderson. When I am released from the Stem Cell Transplant Program, I will be required to have a caregiver 24/7. More than likely it will be 2 people on shifts, but might be just one. This requirement is due to me being too weak to do anything for myself. She will be in charge of everything; meals, medications, shopping, bathing, and companionship. This caregiver might be needed for as much as 3 to 4 months. The Stem Cell Program will not allow you to start without a caregiver(s) in place. This will require accommodations for 2. Additionally Sedge and Amy will be flying to and from Florida to visit me. It's sad to admit that this equals a hole lot of dollars. Prayers, messages, sharing of your lives is so important. I will be isolated a lot. The Go Fund Me dollars will make things easier for my family.
