Ingrid's answer to brain cancer, and I quote, "It's an agressive stage III cancer, but it's owner is stage IV"!
Thank you for taking the time to look at the fundraising efforts we are making on behalf of our dear friend, Ingrid Zeller. Back in July 2013, Ingrid learned that she had two tumors. One is located under her jaw bone and sits on the gland that produces saliva and the other was on her brain. Last month Ingrid (who we affectionately call Inga) underwent brain surgery to remove the tumor that was sitting on an area that is the main drain for blood in the brain. Due to the seriousness of the location, the doctors could only remove 98% of the tumor. All of her family and friends thought the surgery was a success due to her unbelieveable determination and sense of humor. We thought she was as good as new! Unfortunately, the portion of the tumor that could not be removed turned out to be an agressive and rare stage III cancer called Hemangiopericytoma. Inga now has to begin radiation which will include daily treatments for 30 days and need to stay in Los Angeles near the hospital. The drive back and forth from her home town could take up to 3-4 hours in traffic. Inga is determined to beat this disease and we want to help her! Please consider helping by making a donation.
