Odyssey of the Mind

Odyssey of the Mind is an international creative problem-solving program that engages students in their learning by allowing their knowledge and ideas to come to life in an exciting, productive environment. Participants build self-confidence, develop life skills, create new friendships, and are able to recognize and explore their true potential. OotM proves that students can have fun while they learn. Problems range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. 

This team, lovingly called The Buckteeth, are so excited for this opportunity. After starting 1 1/2 months after all the other teams they pressed forward as the underdog. They won the regional meet and came in 2nd at the state meet against 10 other teams. They are now headed to the World Finals in Ames, Iowa in May. They are one of the youngest teams to ever represent Arlington Classics Academy. 

This fundraising effort will go to support the team with the following:

1. Travel costs including hotel and gas
2. Regional pins and lanyards (used for trading with other teams competing at the event)
3. Any other incidentals that may come up.
