Scottys Medical Trust Fund Raiser

This page has been set up for Scotty Svetal to raise money for his medical trust fund. Scotty was involved in a serious accident, while skateboarding on the U of O campus when he was struck by a car causing him to suffer major trauma to his brain. Things were very touch and go there for awhile, we didn't know if Scotty was going to make it. He was under amazing care at Sacred Heart Riverbend Hospital in the ICU where he was enduring life saving but dangerous brain surgeries and other medical interventions. His father Mike and stepmother Christina never left his side. They slept on a small cot made for one, snuggled up being consoled by the sound of Scottys machines keeping him alive. The community, family, and friends of the Svetals all stepped up and helped in anyway we could, with meals and care kits. While Scotty fought for his very life his father kept one concept very important and that was to stay positive, he would give Scotty pep talks, he and Christina always discouraged any sadness or going to dark places and encouraged that everyone pull energy of healing, happy and healthy thoughts to spread it like wildfire to help Scotty pull through this. Scotty was, is, and always will be a super hero. The doctors couldn't say whether or not Scotty would live he had many set backs and endured so much pain. He fought he fought hard  and he made it, he SURVIVED!  Scotty is now at a care facility his father and stepmother are with him working everyday to relearn what most of us take for granted, like walking talking brushing our teeth, with hopes of being transferred soon to a rehabilitation center after his stay there he will go home to his parents where he will continue to strengthen himself, he has come so far but he has an enormously long road ahead of him and he needs our help. We can all help by donating. Scottys has a saying "I got this" He proved that for sure.
