Homeless and Need Help

My son and I have been homeless since January 13th of this year. We were staying in a local shelter until June 13th, which is when it closed for the season. Since then we've been staying in a motel, which was paid for by an organization that helps with bills/rent/deposits - we got 2 weeks paid. Today that 2 weeks is up BUT we were blessed with some help from 2 awesome people, so our room is now paid up until July 6th.
A bit about us: I'm 54 and disabled. I have stage 3 kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, have had 2 heart attacks and triple bypass surgery. One of my sons is with me. He is 24 and is a gentle boy who had developmental delays and learning disabilities when younger and is considered a bit slow. He may be on the autism spectrum, we're waiting for an appointment to get him diagnosed if he is. Neither of us are employed at the moment. I do have a small income that takes care of our personal needs and items, just not anything else.
As of right now I have applied for disability and been denied so I now have a lawyer working on my appeal. As for other places we can stay, there really are no options for us. My mom is unable to take us in as she lives in public housing and can't add us to her lease. We ARE on the waiting list ourselves and I have been checking with the housing but they have been unable to tell me how long it could be.
The shelter we were staying at opens again on August 15th. I'm hoping to be able to raise enough to stay in this motel until then. Other shelters in the area are unable to take us in either because they're not open, they're full or not accepting anyone due to Covid-19. (Like the shelter we were at.)
The rent here is $200/week. So from July 6th-August 15th would be $1,200... which would actually take us to August 17th.
I know that's a big chunk of change, especially right now. Any little bit would help and I do plan on continuing to pursue other options for help that may be available to us. Thank you for reading!
