Help For Mama Rosa

Rosa is my mother, she is 64 years old and lives in Peru and she needs urgent surgery.
Four years ago, she felt pain in her left ear and went to the doctor; after some tests and an MRI, the doctors found she had a small noncancerous tumor on the side of her cerebellum. This condition, called acoustic neuroma, could only be removed through cranial surgery, and in her case this was even more complicated due to her age and other health issues. It was very likely that she was not able to survive the operation. The only option left was to monitor the tumor and hope that it slow-growing.
Since then, the tumor was monitored. Not only has it grown but it has also caused total hearing loss on the left side and partial on the right side, tinnitus and other negative effects. The major complication is that if the tumor continues growing at this pace, it could press against the brain stem, and could affect her neurological function and become life threatening.
We recently consulted with a new specialist and were told there was a new, better option!! A non-invasive surgery that would greatly improve her quality of life is now available. However, we were told it has to be done immediately because this tumor is growing rapidly and although the damage caused is irreversible, we still have enough time to save her life. But the surgery is expensive and it is not covered by her health insurance.
We need to raise funds so my mother can beat this tumor and live many more years. Please help us, any donation will help and we will thank you forever. Thanks for sharing!

Rosa es mi mamá, tiene 64 años y necesita una intervención quirúrgica urgente.
Ella fue diagnosticada hace 4 años con un pequeño tumor no cancerígeno en el lado izquierdo del cerebelo. Esta condición llamada neurinoma acústico solo podía ser tratada con una operación craneal con peligrosas secuelas, y en el caso de mi mamá esto se complicaba aún más por sus otros problemas de salud. Era muy probable que ella no resistiría la operación. La única opción que tuvimos era monitorear el crecimiento de este tumor y rogar para que no creciera rapidamente.
En estos años el tumor no solo ha aumentado en tamaño si no que también le ha causado la pérdida total de la audición en el lado Izquierdo y parcial en el lado derecho, tinitus y otros efectos relacionados a este tumor.
Al consultar con un nuevo especialista hemos descubierto una opción: una cirugía no invasiva que mejoraría su calidad de vida enormemente pero tiene que hacerse de inmediato, porque este tumor está creciendo rápidamente; y aunque los daños causados por este ya son irreversibles aún estamos a tiempo y le estaríamos salvando la vida. Esta cirugía es costosa y no es cubierta por su seguro de salud.
