Help Delilah Get Clubfoot Treatment

Delilah Rose was born on 9/22/2016 with a birth defect called in both of her feet. They misdiagnosed her with clubfoot and the standard treatment procedure for clubfoot is plaster casting soon after birth, Delilah didn’t get her cast until she was 5 months old. She was in her cast for a month. After cast they often give clubfoot babies a device called a Dobbs Bar, which is a metal bar that connects to special shoes your baby must wear 23/7 for a few months. This bar keeps the feet turned outward and prevents a clubfoot relapse. During the months that Delilah wore that brace 23 hours a day every day, her legs from the knee down were forced outward too much. The brace held her legs outward too much in place for so long, so now her feet tend to turn all the way around backwards when she attempts to stand when someone helps her. Her physical therapist told her father and I that she is unable to pull herself up, cruise or even learn walk because of the position her lower legs are stuck in now. Her left foot was also not fully corrected with the first set of casting, and now she needs more because her foot is still curved. we had to find someone who can continue to keep her clubfoot in check and help get her legs back to normal, because we are not taking her back to the orthopedic surgeon who mistreated her in the first place. Thankfully, there is a very renowned orthopedic surgeon named Dr. Matthew Dobbs who is known for helping clubfoot cases that have been mistreated. He has seen pictures of Delilah’s feet and legs and has said the best thing for her would be to come and see him for treatment. The closet Children’s Hospital he works at is in St. Louis, Missouri. That is 6.5 hours away from us in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Dobbs is planning on giving Delilah at least 3 sets of cast. Each cast is $464.50. This GoFundMe was created to help Delilah, her father and I make our first trip to St. Louis to see the best clubfoot doctor in America. All of the money donated will be used for gas to get there 3 times, food and for a hotel room for us 3 for the nights before her appointments, any out of pocket medical fees we may be charged as Dr. Dobbs cannot accept her insurance and for her casting. Please, help me to help my daughter get her legs seen by the best, so she can have the chance to start to learn to walk and run. I will find a way to get there any way I have to for her, but any help is so greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
