15 February 2018 – 14 year old patient(my daughter) jeveriya was brought to hospital in emergency around 8pm for aggressive and confused behavior. The patient was vomiting during within last three days. What happened to her? It took an extensive on call team of doctors around 12 hours in Canada to find out what was wrong with her. They found a chemical disbalance(ammonia) in her body which our bodies convert into non-toxic stuff(urea). However in her case her body stopped doing that cycle and hence the natural toxic built up to very high levels. The doctors removed it via dialysis and medicines as quickly as possible however the blood which carry it reach her brain causing her brain poisoning and brain injury. So now we are left with a new problem, brain cell damage.

Who are we? We are family of five kids living near London, Ontario, Canada Why we need your help? Her medicine is over $8,500 Canadian Dollars monthly and she needs it FOR LIFE. She has also sustained brain injury and the neurologists predict that her recovery can take years. I'm mom with four more kids and it will be impossible to pay for it as I did not have health insurance coverage. Other than that I now have to spend all my time towards her health care and I'm not able to attend any job. Her health comes first and this is why we are asking any help we can get. Other than that want to collect fund to help pay living costs for the kids as we have no other sources of incomes which can cover all of the costs. Thank you!

Are medicines covered by the health card? Not all medicines are covered for people under 25 in Canada. The condition she has is extremely rare as she suffers from genetic disorder. Why the medics so expensive? I don't know it myself but we think they are new drug which was approved by the FDA back in 2010 so they are new and not many manufactures produce it.
